Does the world really need another blog?

This is the question that has been going through my head for the past three years or so. That was about the time that I started feeling the itch to start a blog. But not just any blog. One with a specific purpose, aimed at others like myself who are struggling with being single, Catholic, and struggling to find God’s will for our lives.

Thankfully, there are many more resources and communities online today for single Catholics – but none of them feel particularly geared toward me or my friends.  We – who no longer fit into the “young adult” category that so many singles groups seem geared toward.  Those of us who are older and are established in our careers, homes, and communities, and feel genuinely called to marriage, yet still haven’t met “the one.”  Or maybe we have, but things still didn’t work out.

So, after many false starts, doubts and fears, I continue to feel the nudge to start this blog.  There is still so much I could say, but I will save my thoughts for future posts.  I’ll be sharing a variety of things here – reflections, articles, books, and anything else specific to this topic that I think might be of help or interest to others.  Or maybe just questions to gauge what others’ experiences, thoughts or struggles might be.

But enough for now.  Just know that if  you’re “older,” Catholic, and single, you have found a refuge here.  And maybe some snark from time to time.
